Going Down The Drain??

What in the blue hell is happening to Gabrielite Remix FC? Last week, a disappointing draw. This week a struggle to win but unfortunately, the final score was GRFC 2-4 EOA. Remix's unbeaten record has finally come to an end as well. Sad, but let us see where can Remix go from here. So can anyone solve this problem? There must be a certain reason for the loss on Sunday.

When asked Centre Back Vik about the defeat he mentioned it was partly discipline that caused it, adding to that, he said 2 goals were mistakes. In relation to last week's draw and the loss last Sunday, he said tactics might have been the problem.

The game wasn't that bad in the first part of the second half as Remix managed to get back the equaliser goals. But looks like they did not do enough to get back another 2 more to draw the game.

So, what's next for Remix?

Remix meet the Italians this coming Sunday and it's going to be a tough one as Remix aren't on their best form. The Italians are going to come hard on Remix as EOA did. With 3 wins in their past 3 games, they are definitely not going to let Remix off that easily. Especially after their defeat of 4-1 against Remix at their last meeting.

DO NOT WORRY REMIX!!!
LET'S GET BACK ON TRACK!! THE RIGHT ONE!!
Though we've broken our "WE WILL NOT LOSE" thingy!!
ITS OKAY!!
Like what I (Melvyn Savio) told PAT on Sunday
"ALL CHAMPIONS HAVE TO LOSE ONCE!!"

5 Straight-Wins Broken!!

A sad sad weekend for Team Remix as they drew 1-1 with the French. A win would push them up to the top place of the table but unfortunately, a draw was all they could achieve. Remix, with the thought of coming back to face the Frenchmen and give them another knockout like they did at the last meeting, were shocked themselves as they failed to put the goals behind Aioli's net.

Although Remix scored the first goal with the help of Joey, who placed the ball behind the keeper wonderfully with his left foot, they did not manage to even save that scoreline. Ailoi fought back hard and got their goal quite simply actually as the Remix's defence was not tight enough.

The Frenchmen had drawn with the current leaders, the Brazilian Boys last week and this time, they came back to haunt Remix by spoiling their 5 straight-wins in a row.

With the same points as the current leaders, Remix should be eagerly waiting to face the Brazilian Boys to settle the score. But that would not be too soon. Because before that, East of Anfield awaits the arrival of Remix once again. At the last meeting, Remix beat them 5-2. But this time, East of Anfield looks stronger with 2 wins in the past two games.

Continue to work hard TEAM REMIX!!
and do not forget...we haven LOST!!
and we definitely WON'T!!

Remix!! You Have Done It Again!!

SUNDAY!! Another good game for REMIX who played against the BABAS!!! Wasn't too bad actually. The final score 4-2. Remix as usual again letting in two goals at the last moments of the match.

First goal by Pat was a BLAST! In just 15mins into the game, with Remix trying to get an early lead, got what they wanted thanks to star striker Pat who led in his 9th goal for the season for Remix. Pat was like flash i should say, with his fast moves and suddenly blasting the ball from an unpredictable scoring spot. Wonderful!

Then in the second half as Joey was pushed up to striker with Pat, managed to clinch in 3 goals for himself putting his name on the Top Goalscorer list as second top for the division. His first came in 10min into the second half thanks to Pat again. Pat, holding the ball on the left side tryin to find Joey at the other end. He spotted him laid off a long through ball for Joey who struggled to get to the ball with a "Big Baba" by his side. But eventually he got through the defender and got through the keeper with his first goal for the day.

His second came with the help of Salid and Melvyn Savio. Salid in the middle, with a high and far chip towards Melvyn Savio who controlled the ball well on his side bringing the ball nearer and nearer towards the goal line and suddenly instead of taking a shot, squaring in one for Joey to put in his second.

Joey's third goal was all thanks to Joey himself. A long ball coming from the Remix's defenders and Joey with his mind thinking so hard decided to chip one past the keeper. Awesome!

REMIX played extremely well that day with their solid passes and good defending even without our main defence team there. NO Terence, Nesh, Vik and Fez (came in the second half due to own committments). But one person Remix should thank is Aaron who took up the centre back role for this game and did remarkably well.

But due to Remix's "bad something", they always concede some kind of wasted and unwanted goals at the end. This time 2 goals. Alot of chances throughout the entire game for Remix to make the score 8-2 but due to unluckyness or whatever they call it, they failed to do so. If there is one person you guys should hit on the head it's Melvyn Savio who in total (if i counted correctly) missed 6 chances and 4 goals throughout the match. Besides that, everyone indeed played well so well... KEEP IT UP REMIX!!!

Babarians FC, a very respectable team i should say as they commented well about REMIX in their match report. "Remix no doubt will win the league and will be playing division 1 next season" said the Babas.

NO GAME NEXT WEEK!!!

Matador loses Bull Fight!

An excellent game played on Sunday as Remix beat Matador FC 6-3. The weather was scorching hot that day but Remix still played to their best and did what they came to do. Remix led in a very controversial goal in the 8th min. Keeper Yip was out to get the ball, Matador's player was pushing Yip away with his back and then just in that mess of things, the ball managed to go past the keeper. Remix, obviously not planning to give up, got back the equaliser in the 15th min thanks to someone who has finally scored his first goal for the team this season, Right-back Faisal aka Fez. The leading marksman for Remix, Pat worked hard and rewarded the travelling fans with a goal to put Remix into the lead. 2-1 to Remix at half-time.

The second half started with a rage to get more goals in and that is exactly what Remix did. With a blitz of 4 goals coming in a space of 25 minutes, Remix turned on the style during the course of the mid day sun.

Just 5mins into the second half, Pat scored his second of the day, by running the Matador defence ragged before slotting past the keeper and a sliding defender. Pat never let up and went on to set up the 4th goal for Remix. Pat, after skipping past the Matador defence, played the ball across the goal for the incoming Melvin Koh to easily score his first of the season. The 5th Goal for Remix came courtesy of a good follow up by Melvyn Savio who volleyed in after a long shot from Francis was saved by the goalkeeper who punched high into the path of Melvyn. Although Melvyn was tackled from the back after he had already taken the shot, the referee felt that it was a 50-50 challenge. Not the only disturbing decision from the referee, throughout the game.

Well, fortunately Melvyn managed to pick himself up following the challenge. Another horrific challenge from the already frustrated Matador Defence, that left Melvin Koh sprawling on the ground, was only let off with only a yellow card warning much to the dismay of the players who were so near the action. Remix continued to pile on the pressure and were more than happy to score a 6th. The ever-present Salid, who has turned in solid performances in the past month, was rewarded with a goal of his own. He cooly collected the deposits left by the goalkeeper once again saving from a Pat shot. The ball nicely hit the post before finding its way into the net.

With that, Remix thought it would be okay to take their foots off the pedal and were disastrously punished. It was a telling performance from new signing Justin Prawiradiraja who has grown in confidence as the games go by. His discipline at the backline kept the Matador Strikers at bay. However, it was after his substitution that 2 goals leaked in. With a desire to get more goals, the defence pushed up a little too much leaving the Matador strikers unattended. Not the first time, that Remix have conceded late goals, thus the influx of Goals Conceded. Something that the team has to work on in order to stand a chance of lasting the season.

Overall, a good team performance, with awesome spells of passing football along some super smooth turf. A very enjoyable game and a good aura for the entire week. But as they say, "IT"S NOT OVER TILL THE FAT LADY SINGS". So let's all continue to work hard and make it a season to remember.
