4th game of the season. We knew we had to
go for a win to have any chance of at least
finishing 1st or 2nd.
The game was delayed for about 20 mins
due to heavy rain and lightning. When it all
subsided, both teams got on the field for the
kick off. The match started off brightly for
both teams. It was all end to end action.
Both teams had chances to convert with
REMIX missing a couple of sitters which we
had to pay by letting in a goal. The goal
which was conceded was suppose to be a
cross but it was just floating into goal which
left out keeper Yip, off guard. 1-0 to Holland
Park 11. REMIX were not going to let that
goal affect us. We came back fighting. It all
paid off when there was a goal mouth
scrambel which our REMIX player made no
mistake with it. 1-1. As the game
progressed, REMIX were more confident
with the ball on the slippery surface. Joey
received the ball on the left flank. He went
on with one of his mazy runs cutting past 2
defenders before unleashing a shot which
was deflected and ended up in the goal. 2-1
REMIX.
HALF TIME
Second half started very well for REMIX. We
were having most of the possesion with
some neat and slick passing. Holland Park
11 hardly threatened the REMIX goal. REMIX
on the other hand were looking for more
goals. We kept on attacking but the ball just
wouldnt end up in the goal. Mid-way thru the
second half, Sunder Durai replaced Viknesh
as centre back. He then paired up with
Faisal. He made some important tackles. As
the match progressed REMIX just kept
possesion while the clock was running down.
Overall it was a good game for REMIX.
